In my quest to give Inca a variety in her meals and lots of nutrition in her diet, I have been exploring other grains and cereals. One of them is Ramdana, known in Maharashtra as Rajgira. Wikipedia reveals that its botanical name is Amaranthus Cruentus . While looking at the photographs I realised that the same plant is called 'Cheera' in Kerala.
This snack is made by mixing the puffed seeds (Ramdana) with Jaggery syrup (Raw Sugar Syrup).
